Note:

In the interest of being better able to keep this list up to date, I'm no longer going to be posting my own synopsis/comments about the books I've been reading. Instead, I'm just going to post the blurb from the cover. To be honest, it takes a lot for me to not like a book, so you can pretty well bet that only the keepers make it to my booklist.

Dracula

by Bram Stoker

You'd think with all the vampire books I read, I would have read Dracula before this. In a way, I'm glad I hadn't.

Dracula is in no way the romantic figure that the media has made him out to be. He was evil, pure and simple, with not a redeeming quality in sight.

The book was still interesting though. It was written as a series of journal entries by the various characters; a very effective way of handling it. I can easily see why it's considered by many to be a classic.
